Could you lose weight if you only ate cake?
Well, if you carefully watched your portions and limited how many calories you took in then yes, you likely could. You could have your icing and trot about town in your size 2’s, too.
But hold on there sugar lips! Before you have at it, drop that fork and step away from the table. Then, ask yourself this – would you really want to?
Yes, cake tastes good. Okay, it tastes insanely, supremely yummilicious!! But isn’t that saying, you know the one, “you are what you eat,” a bit true?
Think about it. If you eat an inordinate amount of empty calories how will you look, how will you feel? Think about it as compared to how you’d look and feel if you ate a diet primarily composed of things like baked chicken and juicy apples. The outcome, we all well know, would not be the same.
It’s just some food for thought.
And it’s the first thought on this shiny, new blog. Hopefully, there will be much more insight to come. Insight, feelings, information, news, musings - lots of sweet stuff to help me, you, all of us, be fitter, healthier, better.
We can have our cake and we can eat it, too. But let’s just remember that too much of a good thing is really not a good thing at all.
